# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You can prep it the night before and just slide it in the oven when you wake up.
  • It holds up all week in the fridge, so breakfast is already handled.
  • The texture is somewhere between oatmeal and cake, cozy but not heavy.
  • You can swap the berries for whatever fruit you have without changing a thing.
02 -
  • If you pour the milk mixture too fast, the quinoa can clump up in one spot, so take your time.
  • Frozen berries release more juice, so your bake might look a little wetter, but it still tastes great.
  • Don't skip the rinsing step for quinoa or you'll end up with a soapy aftertaste that ruins everything.
03 -
  • If you assemble everything the night before and keep it in the fridge, just add 5 minutes to the bake time since it'll be cold.
  • Use a silicone spatula to scrape every bit of the milk mixture into the dish so nothing goes to waste.
  • Let it cool completely before slicing if you want clean squares, but I never have the patience and it tastes just as good messy.
